Chester was the first college I attended, and I stayed there for 3 years. Although I left (and have extremely mixed feelings about students who are in debt to the school already, donating money) the college was a large part of my life when I attended. No college that has such dedicated students should have to shut down because of the ineptitude of a few and a crappy economy. If you can’t donate (which I sure as hell can’t) sign the petition. This kind of news and the way it was finally told to the students was mishandled to say the least.

Also, we don’t need more teachers losing their jobs!

Dear people of Tumblr,

Please read this.

Not even 48 hours ago my school found out that there is a good possibility of our school closing; this information was kept from us, and was never meant to be told. We have less than a month to raise the money that we need and to find more people interested in our college so that we can keep it alive.

Chester College is an absolutely fantastic place. Though small, it offers a great education for creative writers, fine artists, photographers and designers, and people that want to blend those things. This place is home to many of us that go here; I call it home, more so than the place I grew up. The staff and professors are kind and know your name; you aren’t just another number here. These professors are our friends.

I, and everyone else, don’t want to lose my home.

We can’t afford to have this school shut down. We need more creative people in this world, and I know for a fact this college has saved a lot of people and has helped them do better in their lives. It just cant go away.

As students, we’d be losing our education if this school was to close. The professors and fantastic staff would be losing their jobs.

If you wish to help us, please spread the word! The more people that know about this and are willing to listen, the better.

If you would like to donate to our cause and keep Chester College around, please visit chestercollege.edu and click on the donate button at the bottom of the page. We would greatly appreciate any and all donations, because they just mean a little bit closer to or goal.

Even now, he has thrown in the towel while the rest of us, staff and students alike, are working to keep this place going.

If you saw me at a party or on the street would you promptly murder me?

The cops wouldn’t overlook your crime because of what I’m wearing because that’s silly. I wasn’t literally asking for you to kill me based on my choice of clothing. Who would take that defense seriously?

My friends wouldn’t blame me for being murdered and my killer would be behind bars almost instantly.

So, why is it okay to rape someone because they’re wearing promiscuous clothes? Why does THEIR choice of clothing excuse THEIR attacker?

Yup. Spot on. I hate the suggestion that there’s some mysterious amount of flesh which once displays causes a man to lose control of his ability to not rape someone. What I find particularly disturbing about that idea is that it implies that men are constantly fighting the urge to rape. That men are naturally and instinctively rapists and that women covering themselves up is the only thing that can possibly keep their urges under control. That is just plain bullshit…if you’re a man and you ever find yourself struggling with the urge to rape then you are mentally ill and you need to seek help.

Gun-toting granny Ava Estelle, 81, was so ticked-off when two thugs raped her 18-year-old granddaughter that she tracked the unsuspecting ex-cons down… And shot off their testicles.

“The old lady spent a week hunting those men down and, when she found them, she took revenge on them in her own special way,” said police investigator Evan Delp.

Then she took a taxi to the nearest police station, laid the gun on the sergeant’s desk and told him as calm as could be: “Those bastards will never rape anybody again, by God.”

Cops say convicted rapist and robber Davis Furth, 33, lost both his penis and his testicles when outraged Ava opened fire with a 9-mm pistol in the hotel room where he and former prison cell mate Stanley Thomas, 29, were holed up.

The wrinkled avenger also blew Thomas’ testicles to kingdom come, but doctors managed to save his mangled penis, police said. “The one guy, Thomas, didn’t lose his manhood, but the doctor I talked to said he won’t be using it the way he used to,” Detective Delp told reporters. “Both men are still in pretty bad shape, but I think they’re just happy to be alive after what they’ve been through.”

The Rambo Granny swung into action August 21 after her granddaughter Debbie was carjacked and raped in broad daylight by two knife-wielding creeps in a section of town bordering on skid row. “When I saw the look on my Debbie’s face that night in the hospital, I decided I was going to go out and get those bastards myself ‘cause I figured the Law would go easy on them,”’ recalled the retired library worker. ” And I wasn’t scared of them, either - because I’ve got me a gun and I’ve been shooting’ all my life. So, using a police artist’s sketch of the suspects and Debbie’s description of the sickos, tough-as-nails Ava spent seven days prowling the wino-infested neighbourhood where the crime took place till she spotted the ill-fated rapists entering their flophouse hotel.

“I knew it was them the minute I saw ‘em, but I shot a picture of ‘em anyway and took it back to Debbie and she said sure as hell, it was them,” the oldster recalled…

“So I went back to that hotel and found their room and knocked on the door, and the minute the big one opened the door, I shot ‘em right square between the legs, right where it would really hurt ‘em most, you know. Then I went in and shot the other one as he backed up pleading to me to spare him. Then I went down to the police station and turned myself in.”

Now, baffled lawmen are trying to figure out exactly how to deal with the vigilante granny.. “What she did was wrong, and she broke the law, but it is difficult to throw an 81-year-old woman in prison,” Det. Delp said, “especially when 3 million people in the city want to nominate her for Mayor.”

DANGEROUS DOG TREATS!

Ok everyone…THESE are among the chicken treats responsible for killing dogs or making them seriously ill. Vets everywhere are now warning everyone to stop giving your dogs these treats. They are slowly shutting down dog’s kidneys and it is because of something they have in them, still as yet UNKNOWN. The fact that they don’t know what the contaminant is, is why the FDA has not pulled these treats from stores. Do not buy ANY treats made in China, as that is where these contaminated, poisonous products are coming from.

The FDA has recieved over 600 complaints on these….other brands are Canyon Creek Ranch and DOGSWELL…anyone feeding their dog chicken treats needs to look at the package carefully as the words “Made in China” can be very small…do not be fooled by the phrase “An American Company” they are using in large print!

It’s a huge issue and is still being investigated! Please click share and pass along - it could save a life!

Haha, I get it: it’s cuz there’s a crack in the wall… :) Took me a while to realize it. Yikes, that artist is good. She made the crack so realistic! :O

I love how just the really subtle crack can totally capture the essence of Series 5.
